One is a football-hanger. They live on football. If Iyke Igbokwe were learned and knows his onions, he should be in the courtrooms advocating and soliciting.
I am convinced beyond reasonable doubts that Mr. Igbokwe (who I have never seen anywhere dressed in a lawyer's garb for once is so adept at wildly being libelous without knowing it.

No wonder Igbokwe and the 'liars' who read law courses in the NFF misadvised Maigari's illegal board of the NFF that they have powers to ban journalists. What are the offences of Toyin Ibitoye in asking about allegations that Baribote had spent N6m within 12 days of assuming leadership of the NPL? When has that gone beyond a journalists' duties? Ironically, we don't have SWAN again. What we have now is SWINE. Sure, not too long from now, the NPL will ban some journalists from covering or reporting the league!
See the kind of "justice and peace" the NFF sued for? In days, more will come. I predict it is the blood of journalists that will be used to clean the augean stable of Nigerian football.

LIBEL AND DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER: After reading Iyke Igbokwe, I had to go to my closet to re-think the same Toyin Ibitoye, who was a youth corp member when I was the Chairman of Kwara SWAN. I looked at the same person who I had seen greatness in him as a future leader in sports journalism. I thought carefully of the Toyin Ibitoye who had grown up to my admiration that he did not make me feel disappointed.
I feel and strongly too that, the personality painted of this Toyin Ibitoye I have known for over a decade is definitely not true. His character was changed, maligned and lied against. I asked some colleagues who I also think should know him but who spurned the Igbokwe allegations as the thinking of a drowning man.
Now. My conclusions: If Toyin Ibitoye does not face the legal rights of his in this matter, then, some things will be wrong for life. He has to go to a court of law. Moreso, I heard and read that the charlatans had gone to Channels TV to officially put on record their cacophony of lies against him. Waiting.
We need to ask Jide Fashikun a question, which side is he? Owumi or Baribote.....this man is partial he has never published the wrongdoings of Owumi but Baribote...why?
